Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker stated the carrier will expand its network to 170 destinations within the next three years, further developing its Doha hub in the process. He said growth with be achieved organically and not by buying into other airlines. "Qatar Airways has seen rapid growth in just 15 years of operation, currently operating a modern fleet of 109 aircraft to 113 key business and leisure destinations across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, North America and South America," Mr Al Baker said, adding its current focus is on "expanding its portfolio of destinations and frequency on existing routes".
