Air Arabia reported an 11.7% year-on-year increase in net profit as increased fuel costs were offset by increasing passenger numbers in the three months ended 31-Mar-2012 Details include:
•Revenue: AED621 million (USD169.1 million),
+21% year-on-year;
•Net profit: +11%;
•Passenger numbers: 1.2 million, +7.0%;
•Load factor: 82%.
Air Arabia CEO Adel Ali stated the carrier is on track to achieve a profitable 2012 despite rising fuel costs, saying “we have budgeted for a profitable year. And we are on track to achieve the same”.
