PAL Airlines (Santiago) announced it is taking legal actions against the Chilean government seeking damages for the lost market share due to foreign airlines operating domestically in Chile. Specifically the legal actions are aimed at carriers from Mexico and Sweden. Both countries have not signed a reciprocal Open Skies agreement with Chile.
Previously the Chilean government authorized West Air Sweden (West Atlantic) and Global Air (Aerolíneas Damojh S.A. de C.V.) to operate domestic services within Chile
