Cathay upbeat on India operations

Cathay Pacific, celebrating the launch of cargo operations to Hyderabad on 17-May-2012, stated it is optimistic about expanding its India operations. “Though 2012 has been a flat year with economic slowdown engulfing the world and high fuel prices, we have grown at a rate of 5 per cent in India. We expect to double our growth rate next year,” said Ashish Kapur, regional cargo manager South Asia, Middle East and Africa, adding, “Hyderabad is one of the major pharmaceutical hubs in the country and is on its way in becoming the cargo hub of India. There’s a huge demand for our cargo services from this sector.”
