Aurora Aviation SA Announces Co-Operation With Fujairah International Airport


Aurora Aviation SA has announced during the EBACE Aviation Convention in Geneva that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Fujairah International Airport, UAE for Aurora to become the Fixed Based Operator (FBO) at Fujairah
International Airport and lease the Executive Aviation Terminal.

Aurora will be providing a full range of ground handling services and will explore the opportunities to enhance the jet fuel supply logistics at the airport.

Commenting on this development, Dr. Khaled Almazroui, General Manager of Fujairah International Airport said, “We are delighted to welcome Aurora Aviation SA as partners in expanding business aviation operations at Fujairah International Airport. Also, we look forward to Aurora’s energy and dynamism in developing other aviation related businesses based in Fujairah. Aurora Aviation SA is the aviation management service provider owned by Aurora Progress SA. Aurora Progress SA is a privately owned, Swiss based company with the trade, supply, transport and storage of refined petroleum products as its core activities. Building on its trading history, Aurora has subsequently invested in oil logistic infrastructure, notably the 641,000 m3 Socar-Aurora Fujairah Terminal.

Fujairah International Airport is a fully equipped international airport, open 24/7, boasting 365 days fog free, clear skies per year, uncongested airspace with no ATC landing or departure slot limitations. Fujairah has a long runway (3750m x 45m) equipped with ILS and VOR, GNSS approach and departure procedures, modern passenger terminal (2M annual capacity), cargo warehouse, separate aircraft maintenance apron, aviation academy complex, hangars and workshops.
