British Airways isn’t just flying the flag for Britain.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has given BA permission to carry the flame on the four-hour journey from Athens to the ...Royal Naval Air Station (RNAS) Culdrose near Helston, Cornwall.

The special flight (BA 2012) is due to touch down at 7:20pm tonight, ready for the start of a 70-day torch relay around the UK.
British Airways says the torch will be safely stored in a Davy (safety) lamp, which will be strapped across two seats on board.
